How does anyone do the things to his mind and body that David did and come back and remake such magic at this age? Impeccable vocals, phrasing and guitar playing. I’ve been consistently listening to “if only I could remember my name” for around 50 years and don’t intend stopping anytime soon, the Croz is alive and doing just fine in my world. I bought about 15 years ago, a Harbor Freight 5 ton electric, and mounted it on a stand from my woodworking shop to get the right height for me. I had an old table that I measured and cut off the legs so it would match the height of the splitter table and put it against a wall on my house, under my shed, then positioned the wood splitter so that when I split anything, one piece just falls onto the table. I bring my rounds in a garden cart, and have a 2 wheel wheel barrow to toss the splits into. My legs are such at 74 that I brought an old bar stool out from the house and set it up so I could just plop on it...I like it because it swivels! Nothing better than sitting out on that back porch, splitting wood in the rain or during snow! That's my idea of fun, working outside in the bad weather but staying in the dry! HA HA Best of luck to ya! I run through about 2 full cords a year, and like to get my wood split and stack it a year ahead of time...that way there is always plenty of wood if the winter turns off colder than normal! I like electric, flip a switch and you are working! Less noisy, and no fumes!

Wonderful David Crosby. I loved David when he sang with Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman and Gene Clark. He sang perfectly on pitch with perfectly synced phrasing and deep emotion. His head voice was to die for, creamy. I'll go so far as to say that with David soaring at the top of the chord, the Byrds had the best vocals, even better than the Beatles. Gasp ;) Sure, no one beat the Beatles, but no one was doing the incredibly cool sounding harmonies David Crosby, McGuinn, Hillman and Clark were doing. Between McGuinn's ringing, Rickinbacker 12 String and the perfectly voiced harmonies, no one equalled the Byrd's sound, at least to my little ol'ears.

Superb just a Shame they cant write classics like the ones they play by the goats !!

I well remember this song from Songs for Beginners in 1972. Besides the song's exquisite beauty I remember Jerry Garcia playing the pedal steel guitar and creating an emotional context that syncs with Nash's vocal. Nash handles the song awfully well for pushing 80. A real artist.

In the era of astoundingly great songwriters, only his inability to write anywhere near consistently compelling lyrics in an economical way prevented him from being a star of the highest order.

What an amazing concert, and what a horrible chop job of a video! I would buy a DVD of this, but this video is terrible.

I like that these guys don't do the whole "mop top costume" type of tribute. They pick the singer that fits the song too, so not every Lennon vocal, for instance, is the same singer. All about what's best for the song, which I appreciate. Not trying to knock the lookalikes, but this is another level musically.

Nice version. These guys are always good. I've always liked this song-even more so when I learned John and Paul worked together to make it happen. Perhaps one of the last times they really did. I also thought it was somewhat prophetic about John becoming a victim of his fame.

Such a beautiful song, and absolutely my favorite Graham Nash song. "And in my bed late at night, God how I miss you." Such a sad line, and how telling the next. "Someone is gonna take my heart, but no one is gonna break my heart again." A song writer can not put his heart more out on his sleeve. Joni passed on something very special.
